Ao longo dos últimos
10 anos o Sr. Spanó tem
desenvolvido trabalhos englobando a Engenharia da Confiabilidade em nosso país, atuando
inicialmente pela Mercedes-Benz do Brasil e atualmente pela ReliaSoft Brasil. Especialista na
aplicação de Ferramentas da Qualidade, atua freqüentemente prestando consultoria e
treinamento a empresas de diversos setores. Já ministrou mais de 113 cursos
relacionados à Engenharia da Confiabilidade em empresas, tais como,
Petrobras, PDVSA, Alcoa, Alumar, DaimlerChrysler, Volvo, Mineração Rio
do Norte, Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, Robert Bosch, Valeo, John Deere, e
muitas outras. Além dos treinamentos o Sr. Spanó atua fortemente na
divulgação das aplicações práticas da Engenharia da Confiabilidade nas
empresas de todo o Brasil, América do Sul e Portugal. O Sr. Spanó foi treinado diretamente nos
Estados Unidos pela staff da ReliaSoft Corporation, é Diretor e um dos fundadores da ReliaSoft
Brasil. Participa também como conselheiro no comitê da ReliaSoft Corporation

como Engenheiro de Confiabilidade na EMBRAER. O Sr. Mazzei trabalha como consultor na

Adamantios
Mettas fills a critical role in the advancement of ReliaSoft's
theoretical research efforts and formulations in the subjects of Life Data Analysis,
Accelerated Life Testing and System Reliability and Maintainability. He has played
a key role in the development of ReliaSoft's software including Weibull++, ALTA and BlockSim and has published numerous papers on various reliability methods. Mr. Mettas holds an MS in Reliability Engineering from the University of Arizona. |

Carl S. Carlson
Senior Reliability Engineer, ReliaSoft
Corporation
Carl Carlson is a consultant and instructor in the areas of FMEA, life
data analysis and other reliability engineering disciplines. He has 20
years experience in reliability engineering and management positions at
General Motors, most recently Senior Manager for the Advanced
Reliability Group. His responsibilities included Design FMEAs for North
American operations, developing and implementing advanced reliability
methods to achieve/demonstrate reliability requirements and managing
teams of reliability engineers. Previous to General Motors, he worked as
a Research and Development Engineer for Litton Systems, Inertial
Navigation Division. Mr. Carlson co-chaired the cross-industry team to
develop the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J1739 for
Design/Process/Machinery FMEA and participated in the development of the
SAE JA 1000/1 Reliability Program Standard Implementation Guide.
He has also chaired technical sessions for the Reliability Track of the
Annual SAE Reliability, Maintainability, Supportability and Logistics (RMSL)
Symposium, was a four-year member of the Reliability and Maintainability
Symposium (RAMS) Advisory Board and served for five years as Vice Chair
for the SAE's G-11 Reliability Division. Mr. Carlson holds a B.S. in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and completed the
Reliability Engineering sequence from the University of Maryland's
Masters in Reliability Engineering program. He is an ASQ Certified
Reliability Engineer. |

David H. Olwell
Senior Lecturer and Department of Systems Engineering Chair
Dr. David Olwell is Associate Professor and Associate Chair at the Naval
Postgraduate School. As a highly respected authority in the field of
reliability, he has presented seminars to a wide range of agencies and
was Director of Research as well as Director of Mathematical Sciences
Center of Excellence at West Point. In addition, he consults to the DoD
on matters of national defense. Dr. Olwell holds a Ph.D. in Statistics
and an MS in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Minnesota. |

Dennis
Wilkins
Retired Hewlett-Packard Senior Reliability Specialist, currently a ReliaSoft Reliability Field Consultant
Mr. Wilkins has over 30 years experience in the electronics
industry, including design engineering, project management, manufacturing management and
quality management. Mr. Wilkins authored and published an Engineering Statistics Handbook
used internally by HP and has taught statistical methods to over 400 engineers and
managers. He has coordinated reliability improvement projects across a number of
Hewlett-Packard divisions and is frequently invited to consult and train at HP divisions
worldwide. Mr. Wilkins holds an M.S.E.E. from Oregon State University.

Duane
L. Dietrich
Director of Consulting Services, ReliaSoft Corporation
Dr. Duane L. Dietrich is the Director of ReliaSoft Consulting
Services. He is a Professor Emeritus of the University of
Arizona. During his 30 years on the faculty, his teaching
responsibilities were in the areas of statistical quality control,
reliability and engineering statistics. He has served as a
consultant to numerous companies and government agencies both
nationally and internationally. Some of his more notable clients
have been the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy, IBM, Motorola and Xerox. He is
currently an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on
Reliability and has served in this capacity for eight years. He was
also a guest co-editor for a special issue of the IEEE Transaction devoted to reliability and quality. |

Hongan Lin
Director, ReliaSoft Asia
Hongan Lin currently serves as
the Director of ReliaSoft Asia, headquartered in Singapore. Over the
last years, Mr. Lin has been championing and enabling the use of
proper reliability practices in the Asia Pacific region. He has also
been involved in the development of ReliaSoft’s software and training
courses. Before joining ReliaSoft, Mr. Lin worked at the Defense
Science Organization of Singapore as a Defense Engineer, and
subsequently as a Lecturer at Temasek Polytechnics in Singapore. He
holds a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering. |

Hugh
W. Broome
Associate Professor, Department of Engineering
Technology, East Tennessee State University
Hugh Broome is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at
East Tennessee State University. He has an MA in Mathematics from
East Tennessee State University and an MS in Reliability Engineering from the
University of Arizona. He has over thirty years of experience in teaching
electronics and manufacturing courses as well as courses in SPC, quality and
reliability engineering and operations research. He is both a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and a Certified
Reliability Engineer (CRE). He is the author of Reliability and Risk
Management: The American Society for Quality’s (ASQ) Foundations in
Quality (Learning Series), published by The Holmes Corporation, Minneapolis, MN, and is a senior member of the
American Society for Quality (ASQ). |

James N. McBride
Consultant
Dr. James McBride spent 28 years at IBM as a Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and
Development Engineer. During that time, he participated in developing many short
courses. He also conducted more than 200 short courses in Design of Experiments
(DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Basic Statistics and Reliability
Engineering for IBM. Dr. McBride has been a full time consultant for the past ten years. As a
consultant, he has developed and delivered courses worldwide in FMEA and Root
Cause Failure Analysis in addition to DOE, SPC, Reliability Analysis and Basic
Statistical Methods. |

Larry
H. Crow
Consultant
Dr. Larry H. Crow is an independent consultant as well as an
instructor and consultant for ReliaSoft Corporation in the areas of
reliability growth and repairable system data analysis. Previously, Dr.
Crow served as Vice President, Reliability and Sustainment Programs at
Alion Science and Technology in Huntsville, Alabama. He held this
position at IIT Research Institute before Alion was established in
2002 by 1600 former IITRI employees. Prior to that, Dr. Crow was
Director, Reliability at General Dynamics Advanced Technology Systems
(formerly Bell Laboratories ATS). Before joining Bell Laboratories in
1985, Dr. Crow was chief of the Reliability Methodology Office at the
U.S. Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity (AMSAA). He developed the
Crow (AMSAA) model and the Crow Projection model, which have been
incorporated into U.S. DoD military handbooks as well as national and
international standards and service regulations on reliability. Dr.
Crow chaired the Tri-Service Committee to develop U.S. MIL-HDBK-189,
Reliability Growth Management and is the principal author of that
document. He is also the principal author of the IEC 61164,
Reliability Growth-Statistical Tests and Estimation Methods. He
developed the widely used N.H.P.P. Power Law model for analyzing
repairable systems reliability, which is featured in the new IEC 61710,
Goodness-of-Fit and Estimation Methods for the Power Law Model. |

Lisa Hacker
R&D Project Manager, ReliaSoft Corporation
Lisa Hacker has been involved with the development of all of
ReliaSoft's standard software products since 1998 as well as custom
development projects for large corporate clients. She is currently the
project lead for ReliaSoft's FMEA/FMECA and RCM software packages. Ms.
Hacker holds two BA degrees from the University of Missouri (Summa Cum
Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and an MA in Information Resources
from the University of Arizona. |

Vassiliou

Pantelis
Vassiliou directs and coordinates ReliaSoft's R&D efforts to
deliver state-of-the-art software tools for applying reliability engineering concepts and
methodologies. He is the original architect of ReliaSoft's Weibull++, a renowned
expert and lecturer on Reliability Engineering and ReliaSoft's founder. He is
currently spearheading the development of new technologically advanced products and
services. In addition, he also consults, trains and lectures on reliability
engineering topics to Fortune 1000 companies worldwide. Mr. Vassiliou holds an MS
in Reliability Engineering from the University of Arizona.

Paul
H. Wirsching
Professor Emeritus of Aerospace and Mechanical
Engineering at the University of Arizona
Dr. Paul H. Wirsching spent 30 years engaged in teaching and research
in the area of structural reliability and probabilistic mechanics,
probabilistic and statistical approaches to design of structural and
mechanical systems, random vibration analysis and design, with special
interest in metal fatigue and fracture reliability analysis and
design. He has over 150 publications and is the co-author of Random
Vibrations; Analysis and Design, (1995) Wiley Interscience. Professor
Wirsching has served for many years on the National Research Council,
ASCE and ASME committees in leadership roles relating to structural
safety and reliability. |

Tarik El-Azzouzi
Reliability Engineer, ReliaSoft Corporation
Tarik El-Azzouzi is involved in the development of ReliaSoft’s
software, including BlockSim, RGA and Weibull++, and provides
theoretical expertise to ReliaSoft’s technical support team. Mr. El-Azzouzi
has experience implementing reliability programs and the use of
ReliaSoft’s products in addition to performing training for a major
manufacturing company. He holds an M.S. in Reliability and Quality
Engineering from the University of Arizona. |

Wang
Senior Professional Reliability Engineer, General Electric Corporate
Research & Development
Dr.
Wendai Wang is a senior professional reliability engineer at the
General Electric Corporate Research & Development Center. He
received his B.S. and M.S. from Shanghai Jiaotong University and his
Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He has more than 15 years
teaching and working experience in Reliability and Maintainability
Engineering. He is the author of over 30 publications and invention
disclosures. His research area includes reliability prediction,
reliability testing, ALT/ADT/HALT/HAST, reliability data analysis,
system reliability and availability modeling and analysis,
electronics reliability, physics of failure, and etc. He has been
leading several innovative "design-for-reliability" and
"Six Sigma" projects in GE. |
