Window: My Dashboard Portal |

The "My
Dashboard Portal" provides an at-a-glance report of the
quality and reliability metrics of interest to you. This is done via
multiple mini-charts displayed in an m x n
panel
configuration.
This is generally the highest level of reporting and normally
includes summaries and trends of interest to you, such as the total
warranty costs for all product lines (or a single product), defect
rates, warranty cost per unit shipped etc. Of course, depending
on your permissions the charts can also include financial information (e.g. revenue) and/or more detailed engineering analyses and trends.

includes an example of the main window using a 2x3 configuration.

From
the main page, click on any item to get a detailed history and trend
analysis for the selected item. As an example, if one is looking
at a warranty cost bar chart showing this month's warranty costs on radiators,
a single mouse click on that bar opens up another chart showing
the monthly trend, including future forecasts for the radiator item.
From there, one can drill down further to continue filtering the data
to specific model numbers, manufacturing dates, region etc. All
filtered queries show up graphically and convey the needed information
(which can be metrics of interest, return rates, failure
rates, etc., including computed projections and forecasts).
Comprehensive and easy to use utilities allow for the creation of custom
charts and comparative charts on live data (e.g. you can superimpose UK return rates
for component X during model year 1998 with US return rates for the same
component and time period). Dashboard's built-in analysis engines
continually update metrics and compute forecasts.
Other statistical analysis can be included, such as control limits
on metrics. The system can also generate automated e-mail notifications based on
certain conditions.

You can customize the look and feel of 'My Dashboard Portal' to display
the
analyses of interest to you (or as they pertain to you and based on your
view permissions).
System Configuration and Administration
System-wide modifications can be performed through a comprehensive administrative application. From here, the administrator can manage and
configure dashboard to meet the
organization's particular needs, including:
- Defining the data sources.
- Defining the chart requirements.
- Defining display options.
- Defining authorized users and permission levels.
- Define issues of concern to the organization.
- Define geographical regions.
